Within the “Facts” series, Information International published “Lebanon in Figures: 2005-2006” in cooperation with Dar an-Nahar publishing house, . The book comes after “Lebanon in Figures: 1992-2002” and “Lebanon in Figures: 2003-2004”. The book puts forth figures and indicators related to the different Lebanese sectors in 2005 and 2006. Information and issues that appeared in the book include:
- Population growth: 73,770 births and 18,012 deaths were registered in 2005, which means an increase of 55,758 people; while in 2006, the Lebanese population increased by 54,003 people. Moreover, 29,078 marriage contracts were signed in 2006, compared to 4,399 divorce contracts.
- Education: The number of students in the various educational levels amounted to 1,012,873 in the academic year 2005-2006.
- NGOs: 516 NGOs were established in 2006 compared to 323 in 2005.
- Legislative authority: Parliament ratified 67 laws in 2006 compared to 68 laws in 2005.
- Commerce: In 2006, Lebanon imports amounted to $9.4 billion and exports to $2.3 billion.
- Commercial and industrial institutions: The number of commercial and industrial institutions registered in 2005 reached 4,971 compared to 4,952 in 2006.
- Price index: In 2005, the price index registered a decrease of 2.6%, while it increased by 5.6% in 2006.
